The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business organization, today announced that Jonathan Boesche will serve as Minnesota’s new state director. Mr. Boesche will be responsible for all aspects of the organization’s state advocacy, operations, political engagement, communications and programming on behalf of the thousands of NFIB members across the state.
“We are very pleased to have Jonathan Boesche join our team as Minnesota State Director,” said Charles Owens, NFIB’s Midwest Regional Director. “John comes to us from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) in Minnesota, where he served as Director of Government Affairs. In that role, he represented the organization in legislative committee hearings, John’s extensive experience in St. Paul has led him to monitor regulatory developments, conduct research to develop lobbying strategies, and ensure the organization’s interests are accurately represented in policy discussions. is well positioned to be an effective voice for its more than 10,000 members.”

In addition to his government affairs experience, Mr. Boesche served as a legislative researcher in the Minnesota State Senate for four years and as a committee legislative assistant for two years prior to that. He also served as a legislative aide to a Minnesota state senator. John is a graduate of St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations. He is also pursuing a law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
