NFIB Awards Recognize Ohio Small Business Support Lawmakers
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Ohio’s leading small business advocacy group, today awarded State Representative Adam Holmes (HD-97) the coveted Small Business Guardian Award. This award is the highest honor the NFIB bestows on members of Congress for their efforts to support small businesses.
“Congressman Holmes is a true champion of small businesses, and I am pleased to appoint him as Guardian today,” said NFIB Ohio State Director Chris Ferruso. “As a small business owner and NFIB member, Congressman Holmes has a deep understanding of the issues impacting the small business community and is a trusted voice for small businesses in the state Legislature. He has a strong NFIB voting record. He was the lead sponsor of a health care transparency bill that won 95 percent and is a top priority for small employers in Ohio.We are confident that he will continue to be a pro-small business legislator. I am proud to recognize him today.”
Congressman Adam Holmes represents Ohio’s 97th Congressional District, which includes all of Muskingum County and western Guernsey County. He has been an NFIB member since 1979. Mr. Feruso presented the words to Rep. Holmes from FruhQuip Inc., an NFIB member company in Zanesville.
“Our family business has been a proud member of the NFIB for over 40 years and we are honored to receive this award,” said Congressman Holmes. “Small businesses have always been the lifeblood of America, and we are committed to continuing to champion free enterprise and entrepreneurship in the Ohio General Assembly.”
