WOODBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, NJ – Sen. Michael Testa (R-1) has been awarded the Paul L. Trost Award for his unwavering support of small businesses and commitment to strengthening New Jersey’s economy. The award was presented by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NJBIA) at the organization’s annual Public Policy Forum event on December 4, 2024.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce,” said Senator Testa. “Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the success of all businesses in our state. As proud co-chair of the Legislative Manufacturing Caucus, I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the success of all businesses in our state. It’s time for the slogan “Built by us, the world gets it” to have meaning again in New Jersey. ”
Senator Testa has served as a champion for small businesses in Congress, working to improve the state’s business climate and foster job creation across New Jersey.
As co-chair of the bipartisan, bicameral Legislative Manufacturing Caucus, Mr. Testa works with industry associations and chambers of commerce across the state to provide local entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed. We have advocated for the enactment of legislation.
He proudly sponsored S-4265, which was signed into law earlier this year and eased regulations that have stifled breweries and distilleries for years. This important legislation was the first substantive overhaul of the state’s outdated liquor licensing laws since the Prohibition era.
