The closure of the city’s sports field has been closed due to the time frame shown that all city lease fields, including the city’s school fields. No one uses the field when closed. If it is found that a permitted league uses closed fields, there is a possibility of a seasonal fine or loss of use. If it is discovered that an unauthorized user is using a closed field, a warning and/or quote will be issued.

Note! Stakeholders can log in to the city’s website and sign up for field closing emails or text alerts. www.cityoffrederick.com. The easiest way to sign up is to click “Show All” under the press release on the main page. Next, you will see “Notify Me” on the right. Please click on that. You can then add an email address to specify which group you want to receive messages from, and specify which group you want to only receive emails, emails, or phone calls.
