SCORE Holds Free Sales and Business Insurance Seminar
SCORE BR will host two free, in-person business seminars on Tuesday at the Reimagine Women’s Center, 7600 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge.
The first event, at 6:30pm, will cover fundamental sales skills for industries such as consulting, retail, e-commerce, coaching, services and product sales.
The second event, at 7:30 p.m., will cover business insurance basics.

Tulane Business Forum opens on Friday
The Tulane University Business Alumni Association will hold its 45th annual forum, “Driving the Wave: Innovation, Trade and Economic Resilience,” from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Friday in the La Nouvelle Orléans Ballroom at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
Keynote speakers at the event include Dan R. Brouillette, president and CEO of the Edison Electric Institute and former U.S. Secretary of Energy, John M. Hairston, chairman and CEO of Hancock Whitney, and D. Shane Roper, president of Hancock Whitney Bank.
Presenters included Marcus V. Brown, executive vice president and general counsel at Entergy and chairman of the Super Bowl LIX Committee, Kim M. Boyle, vice managing partner at Phelps Dunbar, Todd Marshall, vice president and CIO at Poole, and Janine M. Mansour, director of trade development at the Port of New Orleans.

Baton Rouge Black Chamber hosts proposal writing workshop
The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce will host a proposal writing workshop at Vivid Images, 2167 Beaumont Drive in Baton Rouge, on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will provide resources and guidance on how to prepare new business proposals and will focus on areas such as capability development, team development, documentation and process, relationship building and service proposals.
