GREENWICH, N.Y. — The 2024 Soil Health and Climate Resilience Field Days continue with five events showcasing soil health and climate resilience practices in a variety of cropping systems across New York State. Hosted by the New York Soil Health Initiative in collaboration with local partners and farms, the events will provide participants with practical knowledge and innovative techniques.

Join us for a Suffolk County/Long Island Soil Health Field Day focusing on summer cover crops. This Soil Health Field Day will provide demonstrations of summer cover crops such as annual ryegrass, sunnhemp, cowpea, berseem clover, teff, sorghum sudangrass, pearl millet, mustard and buckwheat, as well as planting dates, planting rates and information on how to incorporate summer cover crops into your system.

Farm Ops, a veterans’ project at Cornell University, is offering scholarships to veterans living in New York State to attend a field day of their choice.
