The collaboration between the YANKEE LINE and The Galante Architecture Studio (TGAS) is trying to define the future of luxury motor coach maintenance, which has future technology technology and advanced sustainable design.
The spacious environment in Landolph, Massachusetz offers a generous elbow room to the new 60,000 square -foot headquarters and fleet maintenance center. It is developed three times. Because it is so far away that traffic accumulation and noise are not caused, it is enough to accommodate 80 powerful fleet full services, and it can be sufficiently sustained to maximize energy efficiency in both coaches and facilities. is.
Since its establishment in 1997, TGAS has designed such a sustainable facility before the LEED -certified buildings become standard. The company’s commitment to efficient and sustainable projects was one of the reasons they were selected to design multiple buildings and offices at Harvard University. This early job prepared TGA for the future. At present, building standards require some deeply sustainable possibility, and the established Ted Galante and other established TED GALANTE are fully certified to reflect these requirements.
It works according to the needs of the user
YANKEE LINE participated in TGAS after visiting a Harvard fleet management service shop designed by TGAS. The 70,000 square -foot facilities provide 24 -hour, four -seasons services for college shuttle van, snow promo, and police vehicles, and synchronize the maintenance rhythm with the user’s needs.
Yankee Line wanted a similar approach to the new headquarters. Such a full -service facility will help maintain the shuttle of the boat for a long -term contract with an institution such as the Massachus Settsbait Langchange Bureau (MBTA), which operates the Boston subway system. Sometimes we supply shuttle buses. service.
“The new building is designed to accommodate two platform lift and two axle lift that can protect the entire Yankee Line. , Designed to include large two -story tire curusels, large bath parts, and various equipment and tools.
This facility depends on the intermediate point, and has a built -in mechanism designed to lift a joint -type vehicle, twice as long as a normal bus. The building also includes two washbays with the automatic rollover cleaning system, four deep maintenance bays, and the fifth double -depth bay for a clear coach.
Ted Galante cooperated closely with the Yankey Line Donganham to consider every aspect of the facility.
“You need to place a building to safely accommodate large vehicles, pedestrians, personal cars, and delivery trucks.” These are not your daily facilities, but one specialist needs to plan one. “
Galante and Danham tried to reflect the brands of Yankee Line luxury, efficiency, and safety. For this purpose, the Yankee Line headquarters functions as a dignified tuning and starting point of the operator route on behalf of the TGA industries and architectural aesthetics.
“The front of the building is to be an attractive and welcome gesture of Yankee Line’s identity,” Galante said. “The large -scale cantilever expresses the movement that resonates with the motor coach line. The element of the small entrance is a clear and safe method, although the visitor welcomes to mix with the bus traffic. “Wood grilling continues this effect in the 3rd floor training room for motor coach operators.
The form does not override the function
In the planning of the facility, Galante and Dunham worked to find the safest and most cost -effective solutions without impairing the function. They did not ignore the basics: General maintenance, redundancy of safety, extensive state -of -the -art dispatch area, engine fuel, external cleaning, interior cleaning, storage, and tire repair And all devices were studied with great care between everything. Early design stage.
They have also prepared winter facilities with all overhead doors in all maintenance areas and advanced snow -melting systems on radiant hot water floors. This allows the Yankee Line to provide rain or shine services for 24 hours, combined with the SkyLit interior. Other functions include a locker room for a dedicated driver, a Furi Spatch meeting, and a cafeteria space for employees.
When completed by the end of 2025, the new building will be an all -in -one facility that prepares the fleet with the coach with a rich and recognized representation for the rider.
In order to prepare the Yankee Line in the future, the facilities are preparing for the future as the grid has evolved and needs more electric motor coaches. In the Yankee line plug and play situation, there is an infrastructure of a large electric charger similar to what is already at Harvard University.
A cautious plan with YANKEE LINE has been established for a long time, along with the sharp design work by Galante Architecture Studio.
“This is how smart companies move forward,” Galante said. “In a turbulent world of Motorcoach services, if the company is currently planning and designed new facilities, it will be left behind in the near future.”
