SUMNER, Wash. — It’s been nearly two years since a fire destroyed a historic building on Sumner’s Main Street, forcing many businesses to close or relocate.
Over the past few months, new businesses have begun to open in our small but charming downtown neighborhood, and the latest to open this month is Bomb Charcuterie, a trendy, innovative and exciting new brick-and-mortar store.
After two years of operating out of a small commercial kitchen, owner Alicia Hall decided it was time to move to a new location at 919 Kincaid Ave. in Sumner.
“We’re really looking forward to meeting our followers and getting involved in the community,” Hall said.
Charcuterie boards aren’t the only thing Hall is offering at his South Sound location — crudités, grazing tables and brunch boards are just a few of the items available for pre-order or pickup — but the new space also comes with new opportunities to expand.
Bomb Charcuterie will also be getting into the sandwich business with an emphasis on faux meats and faux cheeses. Sandwiches, small meat and cheese platters, and other grocery items will also be available for purchase at her Grab-n-Go area.
Bomb Charcuterie will officially open with a grand opening ceremony on Aug. 28. Attendees at the “Sip n’ Stroll” event this Saturday in Downtown Sumner can have a peek inside and sip on a glass of wine from 4-8 p.m.
