ROBINSON, Texas (KXXV) — “There’s a housing shortage across the state, certainly across the country, and more and more people are coming to Texas because it’s an attractive state,” says owner said Bart Echterling, co-developer.
I’ve been telling you for several weeks about the city’s plans to widen the roads at Robinson Business Park.
But other changes are afoot, too, including new housing subdivisions.
“Well, Robinson is growing,” Echterling said. “Robinson is in a great location. As a developer, you want to be in a place where people are looking to come.”
La Pradera is located near Moonlight Drive, providing easy access to both the city and I-35.
Echterling told 25 News the new development will create 34 new homes.
“There’s a lot of business coming into Robinson, so we’re trying to meet the needs of business people coming here,” Echterling said.
“It’s going to be great for new families who want to come and live in Robinson,” said Robinson resident Yvonne Partin. When we spoke to our neighbors, they said they were excited to see our town grow. That’s amazing and convenient. No need to go to Waco. Here in our hometown. I want to contribute to that, so I shop here as much as I can. ”
Dustin Gerig is part of the current growth, opening Elite Mobile Infusions just this past September.
“We are in the mobile infusion business,” Gerrig said. “My wife and I are both nurses, and we have about 34 years of combined experience. But in just the three years we’ve been here, a lot has come to light.”
But even with the new businesses, the town still feels cramped.
“We’re still a small town. Even though we’ve grown, we’re still small,” Partin said.
