Premier Luxury Suites, a new luxury salon planned for the Lower East Side just north of downtown Milwaukee, is set to open by Thanksgiving at 1640 N. Water Street. The salon will be located in the Rhythm apartment complex, developed by New Land Enterprises, in a space just north of Hotworks. Premier Luxury Suites’ space will be divided into individual private suites that can be rented by new and seasoned salon professionals. “The suites will have a boutique feel,” says Lance Galloway, co-owner of Premier Luxury Suites. “We’ll offer services like hair, nails, eyelashes and massages.”

Photo: Lance GallowayGalloway said the area is perfect for the business because of the high foot traffic, as well as the local demand for upscale salons with private rooms. According to the Milwaukee Department of Neighborhood Services, the salon’s hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but salon professionals working in the space will be accessible 24 hours a day to serve customers.

Photo: Lance GallowayGalloway’s fiancée, Maddie Carlson, a co-owner of Premier Luxury Suites, is a licensed cosmetologist and will work in the space along with the other tenants. Rent per suite has not yet been determined, but Galloway said the company has plans to expand and open another salon in the Wauwatosa area at some point in time.
