This is the final speculation before the NCAA Select Committee finally gives the answer we long for tonight at one of the best moments in American sports every year. A late curveball happened, and Colorado unleashed one by deciding to go out and win the entire Dern Mountain West Tournament. Boise State, the runner-up, is also in tears, and the predictions here are the leagues that benefit from both runs, with five teams in 68 areas.
It’s more than Big East and ACC. And it comes at the expense of the best meetings – Texas fell to the first team, dropping the SEC record number to 13 (poor SEC). Xavier and North Carolina will also finish off the field. It is certainly possible that one of these three teams could slide at the expense of Boise State. Indiana could also reach either side of the bubble.
Discuss the numbers and all the important things you want. Those who choose these teams should remember to start with those conversations and dig deeper into every team. They are also people with bias, and they may have problems throwing endless e-voting and Big East has just got four bids.
If UAB defeats Memphis on Sunday in the AAC title game, make another team from the bracket to Lop Lop. If George Mason beats the VCU, it’s (probably) 2. The Rams should be suitable for large items.
Among this last few changes to bracket, Florida moves across the third seed, with Houston coming west and moving into the Midwest. That topline is set. St. John’s will move to the second seed and also to the Midwest.
And while Tennessee may not love the idea of spilling courage in an SEC title game with the No. 1 seedless Gators as a reward, Vols’ job in Nashville approached Lexington, Kentucky over its first weekend. A potential game against Memphis. That layup, converting committees gives you A-Plus.
