NBC Sports Philadelphia will provide live coverage of the 2nd Annual Toyota Men’s Big 5 Classic College Basketball Same-Day Tripleheader at Wells Fargo Center on December 7th at 2:00 PM ET. The second year of the Big 5’s new series format will crown a champion from six Philadelphia-area men’s teams: Drexel, La Salle, Penn, St. Joseph’s, Temple and Villanova.
All three matchups in the event, including the championship game, will be aired on NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus at 2:00 PM ET, 4:30 PM ET, and 7:00 PM ET, respectively (times subject to change) will be broadcast on. The championship game will also be broadcast as an encore on NBC Sports Philadelphia on Monday, December 9th at 8pm ET.
All of the production talent will return from the first event in 2023, with Matt Martucci on commentary, Dr. John Giannini on color, and Taryn Hatcher on sideline reporting. NBC Sports Philadelphia will also produce pre- and postgame programming for all three games featuring the network’s Sixers studio team, including Amy Fadour, Jim Lynam and Mark Jackson.

The seeding for the Dec. 7 tripleheader will be determined by the outcome of the final pod game between Temple and La Salle on Nov. 30. Defending champion St. Joseph’s, who finished 2-0 in Pod 2, will return to the championship game for the second year in a row and face the winner of the Temple-La Salle game.
