Chase Elliott has won the unofficial opener of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Elliott began a Sunday night collision at Bowmang Ray Stadium in Paul and ruled the race. He fled 12 out of 12 out of the 23 cars that started the main event in Reed Lap, fled Ryan Brannie on the last 20 laps.
BLANEY was an impressive drive after the last start, but could not pass Elliott on WANING LAPS. Elliott led 171 out of 200 laps, including the first 97 and the final 75.
Denny Hamlin finished third and led 28 laps. Tyler Radick has led one lap. that’s it. That is how good the Elliott and the 9th Chevrolet team are.
The pre -season exhibition race was held on Sunday, the first Winston Sailor Quarter Mile Truck on Sunday with a temporary short truck in the Los Angeles Colosium. The truck, known in the battle with the wreckage, created many crashes in the last chance qualifying ahead of the main event. The main event itself was much calm.
The 200 lap functions had a half -hearted break, featuring six precautions about crashes. However, the last crash came on lap 120 because the rest of the race did not pay attention.
The cup series season will start officially on Daytona 500 on February 16th. The 2020 Cup Series Champion Elliott is one of his favorite to win. Elliott did not win with nine career starts in the Great American race.
