Bannon, now a prominent right-wing podcaster, warned Musk last week that unless he stops issuing visas to bring skilled foreign workers to the United States, Musk and other MAGA supporters will He said he intended to “rip his face off.” The dispute over the H-1B visa program continued for weeks, with Trump siding with Musk.
But despite their differences, Bannon said Musk’s influence will work in the MAGA movement’s favor, saying Musk is an avid supporter of the movement.
“I support his participation because the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” Bannon said.
“Musk just spent $250 million to elect Trump,” Bannon said. “If we spend the same amount of money across Europe that we have spent supporting Mr. Trump, he will turn every country over to his populist policies. There are no centre-left governments in Europe that can withstand that onslaught. It doesn’t exist.”
Musk has recently doubled down on his support for Germany’s far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD), sparking an ongoing feud with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer that has roiled European politics.
