TUCKER, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Multiple businesses were robbed at the Hugh Howell Marketplace shopping center in Tucker early Thursday morning.
At least one of the thefts was caught on camera.
Surveillance video showed a window at Magical Wax being smashed, before two masked suspects unlocked the door and stole the cash register and touch screen.
Employees there told Atlanta News First that the exact same break-in occurred last year.
According to our news partner Decaturish, the incident happened just before 5 a.m. Thursday.
Employees at the Buffalo Wild Wings Go and Jersey Mike’s restaurants next door also said they had been robbed, and they said similar incidents had happened in the past.
The door to the First Watch is still boarded up.
Employees at First Watch, Jersey Mike’s and Buffalo Wild Wings Go could not confirm exactly what was stolen.
A Magical Wax employee said the cash register the suspect stole only contained one dollar.
Last month, several businesses in Tucker were robbed on Main Street, just about a mile away from the shopping center.
Affected businesses include Village Burger, Munster Cravings, Corner Cup and Las Colinas.
No arrests have been made in these cases yet.
Asked if the two incidents are related in any way, DeKalb County police said they are investigating.
