The final Monday Night Football doubleheader of the season will be held.
The four teams officially conclude Week 15 of the regular season on Monday. First, the Minnesota Vikings will host the Chicago Bears in an NFC North game that could be important for the Vikings in playoff contention.
The Vikings officially clinched a postseason berth on Sunday, but fell behind the Detroit Lions in the division. However, the Lions have been and will continue to be plagued by numerous injuries, but if the Vikings can win and move past them, they could make a jump and host a game in the first round. Meanwhile, the Bears have already been eliminated from postseason contention.
In Game 2, the Las Vegas Raiders will host the Atlanta Falcons. The Raiders have also already been eliminated from the playoffs and are competing with the New York Giants for the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. If they lose on Monday night, they will regain that spot.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are looking to end a four-game losing streak. They fell to 6 wins and 7 losses, falling behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South division. A win on Monday would go a long way toward making the playoffs for the first time since the 2017 season, but they’ll need an even better Kirk Cousins to do so. The veteran has thrown eight interceptions in the loss, including six in the past two weeks.
