Turtle Mountain Community High School (TMCHS) faced a Minot team for the second time this week after traveling to Minot North High School on Tuesday, October 22nd, and then faced off against the Sentinels on Thursday, October 24th.
Minot North started in first place and defeated the Braves 25-13 in the first set. In the second set, the Sentinels dominated TMCHS 25-9. The Braves fought the third set and lost 25-20. Minot North won 3-0.
Minot North is currently 3-5 in the West Division. TMCHS is 0-9.
Minot North will next host Williston on Thursday, Oct. 31. TMCHS will travel to Devils Lake on Monday, October 28th for their next matchup.
Minot High School 3, Williston High School 2
Minot High School traveled to Williston and took the Coyotes to five sets, eventually taking the lead with a score of 3-2. Williston won the first set 25-22. Minot High School fought back in the second and won 25-18. The Majets won the third set 25-13. Williston fought back in the fourth set and won 25-21. In the fifth and final set, Minot High School won 15-12.
For the Mudgets, Mackenzie Dagner led the team with 43 assists, three kills, three aces and 15 digs. Sydney Aberle led the way with 14 kills, four digs, and three blocks. Maia Bogden had 14 digs, one kill and two aces. Kynsli Gillmore finished with 13 kills and three digs.
Minot High School will next host Bismarck Legacy on Tuesday, October 29th.
WF Cheyenne 3, GF Red River 0
The top-ranked West Fargo Cheyenne volleyball team had little trouble defeating Grand Forks Red River 25-13, 25-13, 25-15 on its home court.
Shanley 3, GF Central 0
The state’s No. 2-ranked volleyball team traveled to Grand Forks Central and maintained its pace in the rankings with an overwhelming victory over the hosts 25-14, 25-19, 25-18.
Century 3, Mandan 0
Bismarck Century’s No. 3 team traveled to Mandan and won by a score of 25-14, 25-10, 25-15 as the ranked team maintained its winning pace in both home and road games.
WF Horace 3, Devil’s Lake 0
West Fargo’s fourth-place team, Horace, hosted Devils Lake and defeated the visiting team 25-21, 25-10, 25-6, giving the top-ranked team a 4-4 victory.
Bismarck High 3, St. Mary’s 0
The 5th place Demons traveled to St. Mary’s and all 5th place teams dominated their opponents, both home and away, winning 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.
