Milford, Massachusetts – The owner of a Milford store has been accused of trying to sell thousands of dollars worth of counterfeit shoes and hand them over as a high-end fashion brand.
A customer who purchased shoes at the Family Sneaker House on Milford’s Main Street is invited to take receipts to police and get a refund after the owner is arrested for forgery.
During the investigation, more than 1,200 items were found this December, worth more than $200,000, according to Milford police.
Police say the owner bought counterfeit clothing from a Chinese distributor.

Police say the owner has pledged to respect all refunds.
“This wasn’t a traditional crime that demonstrates our community, but these types of operations not only take billions from these big businesses, but they also take money from the wallets of hardworking people. It’s important to recognize that,” Milford Police Prime Minister Robert Tusino said.
