Thursday An unexpected Twitter battle It seems that between Mika Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, the people who cover the team weren’t completely unexpected. Some say the trouble is being brewed between the two in the aftermath of the skirmish.
This raises some questions.
At the core, it is likely that one or more veteran cowboys developed responsiveness in Parsons shortly after they joined the team. He may have rubbed some in the wrong way, like Lawrence. And that feeling may have lasted among these teammates until the point where they were no longer teammates.
And the boom was hit by fans on Lawrence’s official first day as a Seahawk.
Even though he said obvious things about whether he won the Super Bowl in Dallas, it didn’t help that Lawrence shot the Cowboys.
This is a deeper question. Is Parsons Lawrence Dynamic an exception? Are there any other players Parsons has beef? Or what if Parsons (impossibly, but possible, but possible) becomes a former cowboy?
When it comes to great players, organizations should put up with everything that causes surprises and distractions when coming from fewer performers. That doesn’t mean he’s loved in the locker room. Last year, Cowboys Safety Malik Hooker was made public He questioned Parsons’ podcast habits. Parsons used social media to express his objection to Hooker’s words.
Parsons arrived in 2021 as a hot shot rookie. Did something accidentally cause confusion? Did the vet not like the way he carried himself? At least he couldn’t find out where he was at first? Lack of sufficient self-awareness about how new people should behave?
This is part of the fundamental dynamics of the NFL locker room, and it ultimately depends on the head coach to smooth out what ultimately achieves the ultimate goal.
Whatever the solution was (usually including sending a clear message to one or more players about how things will turn), Parsons v. Lawrence’s roots were allowed to grow quietly with Fester. With Lawrence gone, mutual problems between the two players are bubbled up.
This is the Cowboys question. Was Lawrence the only one, or was he just the first?
Or, second, considering what Hooker said last year?
