SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana University football team will have three games broadcast live on the Midco Sports channel this season, it was announced in the network’s live schedule announcement.
“Midco Sports is a leader in the local sports world and continues to be a great partner for our campus,” said Vice President for Athletics Josh Morton. “This is another great example of raising the profile of Augustana Athletics, and in this case, our conference champion football program.”
The Vikings will open their season on the road against defending FCS champion South Dakota State on September 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm and will be broadcast on the Midco Sports main channel.
The first of two home games to be broadcast on Midco Sports Two will be against Winona State on October 19th at 1 pm. The two teams have won and lost their past two meetings, with the Vikings holding the overall edge with a 10-7 record. Augustana defeated Winona State a season ago, with a trio of players – Jarrod Epperson, Rashad Lumpkin and Kyle Graham – combining for 255 yards and four touchdowns.
Rounding out the Midco Sports Two action will be a matchup against Concordia-St. Paul on Nov. 2. The 1 p.m. kickoff will be a rematch of the Vikings’ one-point victory in St. Paul last season. Augustana has won the past seven meetings in this series and is 14-4 overall against the Golden Bears.
