The New York Mets reportedly agreed to re-sign one-base player Pete Alonso on Wednesday to a two-year, $54 million deal to maintain a fan favorite in New York.

The luxury tax bill is projected to be $62.5 million per Spotrac, which is still different from the Dodgers’ $128.3 million.
