The following is attributed to spokesman Tammy Bruce.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov today as a follow-up to President Donald Trump’s conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 12th. President Trump was chosen to reestablish bilateral relations. Foreign Minister Lavrov has been joined by President Yuri Ushakov with a Russian aide.
President Trump wants to stop the murder. The United States wants peace and uses its strength in the country to unite it. President Trump is the only leader in the world who can agree to Ukraine and Russia.
We agreed:
Establish the objective of taking necessary measures to normalize the operation of each diplomatic mission, and the consultation mechanism to address stimulants for bilateral relationships. We will appoint each high-level team and begin working on the path to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible in a permanent, sustainable, and acceptable way to all aspects. It lays the foundation for future cooperation on mutual geopolitical interests and historical economic and investment opportunities issues. The parties to today’s meeting are pledged to remain involved in ensuring that the process moves forward in a timely and productive way.
One call followed by one meeting is not enough to establish lasting peace. We must take action, and today we have taken an important step.
We would like to thank the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for holding the event under the guidance of Prince Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud.
