Dorchester County Economic Development Deputy Director Michelle McDonald has been recognized as the recipient of the 2024 Charleston Area Business Journal Women of Influence Award. The award recognizes women who have made a significant impact on their industry and community through leadership, resilience and innovation.

The Women of Influence Award celebrates women in a variety of industries and fields in the Lowcountry, including business, entrepreneurship, public service, education, law, communications, health care, hospitality and finance.
