Those hoping to get all six of McDonald’s Collector’s Meal cups, which went on sale Tuesday, can already find them on online resale websites.
The complete set of cups sold on eBay for $99, and a single Hello Kitty-themed cup sold for $25 (plus shipping).
When McDonald’s announced the information about the cups, they were trying to appeal to nostalgia, as many people refer to the meal in the cup as an adult Happy Meal. Judging by secondary market sales, interest certainly seems high, but not all customers who bought the cups directly from McDonald’s are happy.
“How do you move on from this heavy, sculpted, beautiful glass?” TikTok user @littlemiss1stgrade asked, holding up some of the fast-food giant’s previous collectible cups and showing off the new ones. “And this? Seriously? I’m so disappointed.”

“I was just about to go to McDonald’s and get this. This has changed my mind. Thank you kind internet strangers,” wrote one TikTok user.
“Not only that, but the price of a meal has to be added to buy a plastic cup, ridiculous,” another responded.

One TikTok user lamented the extra hassle of washing the cups.
“It’s not even dishwasher safe! I nearly brought it home and threw it out the window,” wrote a user responding to a video by @littlemiss1stgrade. “More than anything, I hate having to wash the cups by hand.”

They feature a variety of franchises, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Beanie Babies, Coca-Cola, Hello Kitty, Peanuts, Shrek, Jurassic Park, Minions, and McDonald’s itself. They’ll be available for a limited time, but the company didn’t say when the sale will end, and didn’t immediately respond to FOX Business’ request for more information.
