Donald Trump’s one-day work visit to McDonald’s earned the food chain a sarcastic one-star review. Yelp temporarily disabled the Feasterville, Pennsylvania-based food retailer’s comments section following the former president’s visit on Sunday, October 20th. Trump acted like a McDonald’s employee, serving orders to customers at the drive-thru window.

Yelp disables McDonald’s comments section
A website that provides crowd-sourced reviews of businesses had to shut down reviews of its Featherville store after observing an unusual influx of comments. The comments ranged from jokes to vulgarity, with some criticizing the franchise owners for agreeing to host the Trump campaign. Other comments criticized the former president for describing his criminal charges, felonies, and service skills, with most giving it one star.
Yelp quickly disabled the comments section, but it wasn’t enough as there were already 145 reviews posted before they used the “unusual activity alert” yesterday. Noorie Malik, Yelp’s vice president of user operations, told CNBC News, “For Yelp to remain a useful resource for our community, reviews must be based on authentic, first-hand experience with businesses.” he said. She added, “If activity significantly decreases or stops, moderators will clean up the page to ensure that reviews only describe consumers’ direct experiences.”
McDonald also acknowledged that hosting the Trump campaign in no way means endorsing Republicans in the upcoming election. Franchisee Derek Giacomantonio told the media in a statement Monday, “As a small independent business owner, it is fundamental to my organization that we proudly open our doors to all who visit our Feasterville community. “It’s a set of values.” “That’s why we accepted former President Trump’s request to observe a transformative work experience experienced by one in eight Americans: working at McDonald’s.”

President Trump’s Service Reviews at McDonald’s on Yelp
One user wrote on Yelp: “Fire the stinky old man who curses at flyers!” The employee seemed very angry and confused like he didn’t even know where he was. I think it smelled bad. “The fries are still pretty good,” wrote a two-star review.
A second user wrote, “YELP REVIEW: Tried McDonald’s in Feasterville today. Customer service was a joke. Old man put bronzer on my fries and wasn’t wearing gloves. I repeat, what about Donald McDonald showering with golf clubs? I don’t get it. 0 stars. And of course it’s fries, so it’s not vegan. .”
A third user said: “Every time I shake I get a free lie. I just don’t want to see who’s shaking. I asked for Arnold Palmer. Grandpa said I can’t handle it.” ” Another user wrote, “There was something like orange slime dripping on the fries. The incoherent old man working the counter was slurring his words and refused to give us the change.” He said he had already given it to me, but I saw it sticking out of his pocket.
