Marriott International is expanding its luxury group portfolio into 2025, with more than 30 luxury hotels, residences, lodges and resorts scheduled to open next year and more than 260 luxury properties under development.
Marriott expects the shift toward luxury experiences to increase next year, driven by affluent young travelers who are increasingly committed to responsible travel and wellness, and who prefer deep connections and innovative travel experiences.
As this sentiment grows, travelers are exploring different approaches. EDITION Hotels will open two hotels next year. Lake Como Edition, located on a lakeside property dating back to the 1800s, and Red Sea Edition, part of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project.
The JW Marriott brand, which opened three hotels and resorts this year from St. Maarten to Nairobi, has three more properties: JW Marriott Calf Atoll Island Resort, JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa, and JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa. Celebrating the opening of Hotel Tokyo.
Marriott’s Luxury Collection, which consists of independent luxury hotels around the world, will open Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Milan, and The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Madrid.
The Ritz-Carlton brand, which has grown significantly in recent years, will welcome Luminara, the third yacht in the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, next summer. The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok and Nekajui a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Costa Rica will also debut.
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts plans to open The St. Regis Aruba Resort and The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic. W Hotels opens W Punta Cana and W Florence, all-inclusive, adults-only hotels.
