Mandarin Oriental recently revealed that it owns and independently operates a branded collection of the world’s most elite private villas and mansions. The portfolio currently consists of 25 meticulously selected luxury private properties located in the most desirable destinations around the world.
Mandarin Oriental was initially founded in 2022 with just eight properties and plans to expand the size of its portfolio, establish itself in the luxury villa market, and grow its global fan base. In line with this expansion strategy, the collection will be rebranded as Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes.
Over the past three years, the portfolio has grown to its current size, with each property chosen for its exceptional quality and sought-after location. These homes offer exemplary service and experiences consistent with the award-winning Mandarin Oriental brand’s renowned hospitality.
The Group plans to focus on expanding into premium leisure destinations. These include European summer hotspots across the Mediterranean, winter retreats in the Alps, and summer and winter destinations in North America. This allows guests to enjoy Mandarin Oriental’s services in the most desirable setting throughout the year.
Mandarin Oriental’s Exceptional Homes Collection offers a wide range of bespoke experiences, from beachside getaways and cultural experiences to wellness-focused stays and family-friendly properties. We also cater to guests seeking privacy and exclusivity, such as multi-generational stays or family celebrations.
Mandarin Oriental Group Chief Executive Officer Laurent Kleitman said these luxury private residences have become a natural extension of the brand. It also provides an opportunity to enter new destinations and offer unique experiences to customers around the world.
Mandarin Oriental Exclusive Homes are located in popular destinations in Europe, Asia, and the United States. The collection includes classic mansions in the Cotswolds, grand mansions in London, seaside villas in the south of France and Santorini, and hillside homes in Mallorca and Ibiza. It also features restored farmhouses in Puglia, expansive estates on the Costa Brava, tranquil retreats in Phuket and Bali, and stunning contemporary homes in Bel Air. Each home is serviced by Mandarin Oriental’s trained team, providing local knowledge of each destination.
