Major League soccer is heading into the 2025 season, with players continuing to move big from across the country and beyond.

FC Cincinnati announces Evander’s blockbuster signature

A major transfer was confirmed on Monday as FC Cincinnati signed Portland Timbers star attacker Evander. The Brazilian reportedly signed it with $1.2 million and add-on fees.
During the offseason, Evander attacked Timbers executives on social media, but still sent farewell messages to fans after swapping the MLS side.
“For fans, this was never about money,” he wrote. “I have never surpassed the respect I have for this club and this city. In fact, I just sacrificed a lot to move forward. But in the end, I am not given any choice. did.”
According to FC Cincinnati head coach Pat Noonan, Evander was able to make his debut against Motagya in the Konkakaf Champions Cup on Wednesday night.

The versatile 24-year-old, capable of playing as an offensive midfielder, was impressed by League One and the French side of Europe as a whole.

Whitecaps sports director Axel Schuster labeled Rios as an “experienced striker” with a “natural physical presence.”
The 29-year-old was previously on loan with Atlanta United after a stint with Charlotte FC and Nashville SC. He has 19 goals and seven assists in 81 regular season MLS matches.
Nashville sign midfielder Ahmed Qasem is from Sweden.

Nashville also took part in the transfer action after completing the move of midfielder Ahmed Kasem.
The 21-year-old added options throughout the 2027 season from Ifsborg, the top club in the Swedish Premier League.
Swedish International has registered 11 goals and 13 assists in 87 matches for Elfsborg since 2021. The 2024 season enjoyed “his best professional season” after he was moved by the Allsvenskan and the Europa League.
Qasem was featured against multiple European football giants, including Tottenham Hotspur, Athletic Club, Rome, Nice, Braga and Galatasarei.
