Westfield, Indiana -One of Korea’s largest hotel developers wants to build luxury hotels and restaurants in the waistfield, and the city plans to realize it.
Lotte, Korean Chevol, or a large -scale conglomeric owned by a single individual or family operates companies around the world. The company is trying to invest 50 million dollars in the Westfield, along with a new hotel called Lotte L7.
The proposed development built a hotel from 31 and 161st streets in the United States and access to the monon trail.
The five -story hotels are currently planning 228 guest rooms in the same development area and 10,000 square feet.
The Westfield City government originally planned a site to develop a retail space similar to Village Park Plaza in 2007, but moved to a luxury hotel development in 2021.
At the Advisory Planning Committee meeting on February 3, a representative of the plan said that construction could start early this fall. They expect construction to last 12 to 18 months.
The hotel plan has not yet been approved, but the planning committee has stated that Korean developers are interested in Westfield.
In March, Mayor Westfield, Scott Willis and other city authorities, travel to South Korea to build a relationship for future potential partnerships. Cayla Arnold, the city’s communication director, said that it is trying to establish a sister city program to promote “cultural exchange, education, economic growth, sightseeing”.
