NEWPORT, Ark. (KAIT) – A private charter company specializing in “the ultimate travel experience” has landed in Newport.
Fourth-generation jet aircraft will soon begin operating at the city’s municipal airport, the Newport Economic Development Commission announced Wednesday.
“We are pleased to be able to offer luxury private travel through our partnership with Gen 4 Jets,” said Mayor Derrick Ratliff. “This is a resource that will provide existing businesses with another avenue to meet their travel needs.”
“We understand that every journey is unique, which is why we’re excited to offer our customers personalized, flexible travel solutions tailored to their specific needs and preferences,” said Garrett Lassiter, president of Gen 4 Jets.
The company plans to create 12 new jobs in Jackson County over the next four years and build a civilian facility adjacent to the airport, according to a news release.
