Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on Monday that he was a deputy director of the US International Development Organization (USAID).
Rubio told reporters, “I delegated the authority to someone, but I have been in contact with him.” The USAID administrator was previously Jason Gray. CNN asked the Ministry of State if Rubio was referenced.
While in El Salvador on a trip to the Central America, Rubio claimed that USAID was a “unresponsive institution.”
