Mini Copycat McDonald’s Big Max Rider
Yield: 24 servings

Served with ground beef and special sauce, these sliders break down the cheese into a delicious meal that mimics a Big Mac.

Heat a frying pan on the stove to medium heat. Crumble the ground beef with the onions and brown. Reserve 2 tablespoons of chopped onion for the sauce. Excretes fat. Season the meat with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let’s set it aside.

Mix the ingredients for the copycat Big Mac sauce in a bowl or jar.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut the roll in half lengthwise, keeping it together. Place the bottom piece on a sheet pan.

Spread the sauce on the bottom of the rolls. Add ground beef mixture to bread rolls and spread evenly. Add pickles, followed by sliced cheese. Replace the top of the roll. Bake in the oven until the cheese is melted, about 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and brush the surface with melted butter. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. If desired, add shredded lettuce before serving, if desired. Enjoy warm!

Tips for making a homemade imitation Big Max rider:
The imitation Big Mac sauce is my favorite. Consider doubling it to have extra for dipping. Hmm! I bought shredded lettuce to add before eating, but I completely forgot to add it. (laughs) I think that would have added a nice crunch. If you are not a Big Mac fan, I would use whatever type of cheese and burger toppings you prefer. You can easily customize this to your liking! I think it would also be delicious with chopped green pepper and provolone cheese.
