LAS VEGAS (November 14, 2024) – The Las Vegas Golden Knights earned top honors in two categories at the Clio Sports Awards, Clio announced Wednesday. The Golden Knights won gold for Gameday/In-Game Experience media’s “Overall/End-to-End” and “Hype/Show-Opening Videos” featuring teams and leagues from all professional sports. The Golden Knights and other award winners will be recognized at the 2024 Clio Sports Awards on Dec. 4 in New York City.
“Creating a best-in-class gaming experience at T-Mobile Arena is at the heart of what we do at Las Vegas Golden Knights,” said President and CEO Kelly Bubolz. “We would like to thank Clio Sports for the honor and acknowledge the efforts of many who contributed to the atmosphere at our games, including our fans who bring their energy each night.”
The Las Vegas “Hype/Show Opening Video” award was given to the 2023 Western Conference Finals playoff opener, which featured dramatic ice projections and a night of drumbots performing while descending from the rafters onto the ice. Line members were included. The “Overall/End-to-End” honor was given for the team’s in-arena experience for the 2022-23 season.
Founded in 2014, Clio Sports recognizes the best in sports advertising and marketing from around the world. This is the first year the organization has implemented Gameday/In-Game Experience media.
These honors come on the heels of the Golden Knights winning the NHL’s The Stanley for Game Presentation in 2020, 2022 and 2024. In addition, the Golden Knights’ game entertainment and production team won Best Overall Production and Best Overall Hockey Production at the 2023 Information Display and Entertainment Association (IDEA) Conference, as well as the 2023 Stanley Cup Championship.
