FOX Business host Larry Kudlow responded to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s decision to end his campaign and endorse former President Trump on “Kudlow.”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s endorsement of Donald Trump ruined Kamala Harris’ speech at last night’s Democratic National Convention. That’s the subject of this debate. Kamala Harris gave a reasonably well-crafted speech at last night’s Democratic National Convention, but of course it was full of platitudes and numerous lies about Donald Trump’s record. She worked overtime to hide her ultra-liberal progressivism and big government socialism, but unfortunately for her, the big news today came from Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who endorsed Donald Trump.
In a way, Kennedy erased Kamala’s DNC speech from the news, and his reasoning was strong and well-constructed: First, he said he supports President Trump because of “the causes of free speech, the war on Ukraine, and the war on children,” and then he blasted Democrats for waging a legal war against President Trump and himself.
Just listen: “The DNC has waged an ongoing legal battle against both President Trump and me. Every time our volunteers have turned in the giant signature boxes needed to appear on the ballot, the DNC has dragged us to court, state by state, trying to erase their work and overturn the will of the voters who signed those petitions. The DNC has sent DNC-allied judges to keep me and other candidates off the ballot and send President Trump to prison.”
Sarah Sanders, Republican governor of Arkansas, said on “Kudlow” that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. knows how dangerous Vice President Kamala Harris is to the country.
Larry Kudlow: Trump is committed to ending the Biden-Harris housing affordability crisis
Kennedy then pointed out that all the prominent Democratic Party speakers who spoke at the convention mentioned Donald Trump 47 times on the first day alone, and mocked them. “You don’t need policies when you have people who hate Trump,” he continued, adding, “President Biden was only mentioned twice in four days,” but that’s not the only complaint Kennedy has about the undemocratic Democratic Party.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said about foreign policy, “We have pushed Russia into a destructive alliance with China and Iran. We have been on the brink of nuclear war since 1962, but the neoconservatives in the White House don’t seem to care at all.”
He also quoted the Dollar King, and just listen: “Our moral authority and economy are crumbling, and war has led to the rise of the BRICs, which now threaten to replace the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. This is a disaster of the first order for our country.”
Kennedy and President Trump have met several times in recent weeks, with Kennedy outlining several issues of common interest with President Trump.
Listen: “We are united in ending childhood disease epidemics, securing our borders, protecting free speech, liberating our regulatory agencies from corporate control, and freeing our intelligence agencies from propaganda, censorship, surveillance and interference in our elections.”
Since the Kennedy Jr. news broke, pay-to-play betting markets have Trump leading Harris 51% to 48%. Not only did the Kennedy news drown and nearly bury the news of Kamala’s speech last night, which was well delivered but had very little serious policy content. Kamala lied about Trump cutting Medicare and Social Security. Trump has said a million times that he won’t.
She lied that Trump supports Project 2025 because Trump has said a million times that he knows nothing about it and does not support it. She lied that Trump wants a nationwide ban on abortion because Trump has said a million times that he does not support abortion and supports leaving the issue to the states as determined by the Supreme Court, while supporting “Reagan-esque” exemptions for rape, incest, and maternal health.
In fact, it is Ms. Harris who wants national abortion rights that embrace the horrific late-term abortion as it is. On the economy, it was Kamala saying “I’m not Joe Biden and I haven’t been in the White House these last four years.” Hold on a second! You’ve played a key role in the White House and supported Bidennomics’ tax, regulation, spending policies, war on fossil fuels, and the affordability crisis of price gouging, where prices rise faster than wages due to excessive spending.
She cannot hide this and Trump will blame this on her in the debates, he has already pinned this on her in numerous recent speeches and press conferences, and by the way, she has the exact same tax policy as Joe Biden, which was also documented in a recent major news article in the New York Times.
She would reduce wages and business competitiveness by raising corporate taxes, raising top income taxes for small businesses, raising capital gains taxes from 24% to 44%, and imposing the first-ever wealth tax on unrealized capital gains. All of this is reminiscent of the late Jack Kemp, who used to say that you can’t get prosperity through taxes. And he would often add that without capital there can be no capitalism. But as we all know, Harris is no fan of capitalism.
She is a supporter of big government socialism, but stayed away from it in her speech. She is also a cultural radical, pushing affirmative action, DEI, wherever possible, and burying America’s historic meritocratic values. She promised a strong military, but the Biden-Harris budget cuts real defense spending after inflation.

She talked about how she would keep America strong, but made no mention of the catastrophe of fleeing Afghanistan and leaving $85 billion worth of weapons behind for the extremist terrorist Taliban.
Of course, she made no mention of Trump’s appeasement of Iran or the lifting of harsh sanctions on its oil, which was used to fund the war against Israel and the United States.
I am in awe of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. because his policy reasons for supporting Donald Trump are so close to what Americans actually think. I don’t agree with everything Kennedy says, but I do agree with him on some issues and the direct, specific reasons he supports Trump and attacks undemocratic Democrats. That’s why he’s winning the news cycle. That’s why today he gave Trump a big boost to win the election. Here’s the riff.
