2) Ravens’ big win brings new history to Derrick Henry
Not surprisingly, Lamar Jackson wasn’t the only Raven to make history Sunday, considering Baltimore won by a whopping 31 points.
Henry, one of the NFL’s leading rushers, added 106 yards and two touchdowns as the Ravens defeated Sean Payton’s Broncos 41-10. It was the 21st time in Henry’s career that he ran for at least 100 yards and two scores, tying him with Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith for the third-most games in league history. Henry has the most games with 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns, trailing only Hall of Famers Jim Brown and LaDainian Tomlinson (25 games each).
While playing in his 128th career game, Henry also scored his 100th and 101st career rushing touchdowns. This is the first time Adrian Peterson has reached 100 career rushing touchdowns, joining Tomlinson (93), Smith (99), Brown (113) and Shaun Alexander (119). This was the fifth lowest number of games played.
His 11 rushing touchdowns lead the NFL, but it also marks the seventh straight season in Henry’s career of eclipsing double-digit rushing touchdowns. Tomlinson (2001-2009) and Peterson (2007-2013) are the only players in NFL history to score double-digit rushing touchdowns in seven consecutive seasons.
