“I’m excited for this season and this team,” head coach Krista Gerlich said. “I thought the first half was pretty good. I thought we scored well and we had some momentum. It was tough playing against the zone and right from the penalty. , because we worked really hard.”We wanted to be a really good offensive team. And I thought we didn’t run our zone offense as much as we should. But I thought the first half wasn’t terrible. It was pretty good.
“The second half wasn’t very good. We definitely didn’t adjust. We kept fouling and forcing them to the free-throw line, we passed the ball around too much and we didn’t quite get into the groove we wanted. “We played a lot of kids in the second half, we played a lot of kids in the early games, and it’s going to take a little while to figure out the rotation, but overall that’s what I thought. Obviously, a 30 point win on opening night is a good day. ”
