Keuka College has once again been selected for U.S. News & World Report’s annual review of America’s best colleges, continuing the college’s tradition of being recognized for its academic performance and dedication to student success.
This year, Keuka College was included among the top 171 schools in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and six other Northeastern states in the magazine’s 2025 Best Colleges rankings. Initiatives for social mobility
In addition to being recognized for its overall academic excellence, Keuka College earned a spot as one of U.S. News’ top performers in the Social Mobility category, ranking 109th out of 165 colleges in the North. Ta. This designation highlights the university’s success in enrolling and graduating students from low-income families, many of whom receive federal Pell grants.
U.S. News reported that “economically disadvantaged students are less likely than other students to graduate from college.” “However, some universities are more successful than others in increasing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students awarded Pell Grants.”
Pell Grants are awarded to students with significant financial need, typically families with annual incomes of less than $50,000. Keuka College has a long-standing commitment to supporting this student population through targeted financial aid, academic support, and a focus on holistic development.
“More than 40 percent of our incoming students, both on-campus and online, are Pell Grant recipients,” said Pete Bekis, Keuka College’s vice president for enrollment management and marketing. “Our continued efforts to provide resources tailored to these students likely contributed to our recognition from U.S. News & World Report.”
