Founded in New Jersey in 2005 by two dog-loving entrepreneurs, K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotels now has locations across the country, with a new location scheduled to open in the Heights at the end of September.

Pet owners can book their dogs for overnight boarding or doggy daycare. The Heights facility has over 90 dogs available for boarding and 115 for daycare. Dogs staying at the facility are kept in Kuranda dog beds with soundproofed compartmented rooms throughout the facility to reduce noise and stress.

According to a news release, the grand opening event and open day will be held on Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the facility set to officially open on Sept. 30. The first 50 couples to attend the grand opening event will have the chance to win a $500 credit to use at the pet care facility.
The new store on North Shepherd Drive will be the franchise’s fourth in the Greater Houston area, with others in Sugar Land, Katy and the Energy Corridor.
