Juniper Hotels will acquire a full stake in Jenipro Hotels to build a luxury resort in Kaziranga, boost Assam tourism and expand its footprint in India.
Juniper Hotels has completed the full acquisition of Jenipro Hotels Private Limited and has gained control of the leased land in Kaziranga through a public-private partnership (PPP) with Assam Tourism Development Corporation Limited. This strategic move marks Juniper’s entry into Assam. In Assam, the company plans to develop high-end five-star hotels and resorts. Future luxury properties aim to seamlessly blend modern hospitality with the cultural richness of Kaziranga with natural beauty, appealing to both national and international travelers looking for an immersive experience.
The acquisition news sparked a prominent market response, with Juniper Hotel stock rising 4% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), touching on the daytime peak of Rs. 287. As of 10:59am, the shares were trading at rupee. It increased by 284.7, 3.17%, bringing the company’s market capitalization to Rs. 6,334.64 crores. This development, in line with Juniper’s strategic roadmap, will expand to major tourist destinations and strengthen its commitment to sustainable hospitality growth across India.
As a long-standing joint venture between Saraf Group and global hotel brand Hyatt, Juniper Hotels brings over 40 years of industry expertise. Flagship properties like Grand Hyatt Mumbai showcase the group’s legacy in luxury hotel development. Future Kaziranga Resorts is expected to procure bars for premium tourism in northeastern India, while also creating employment opportunities and stimulating the region’s economic development.
Juniper Hotels has lost 40% of its stock value over the past year, but this latest initiative reflects a new focus on impactful investments. The company has banked its bank on growing demand for experiential, green and luxurious travel. Juniper aims to set new standards for sustainable tourism by establishing a world-class resort in one of India’s most biodiversity regions.
