Franklin Chamber hosts pitch contest
The public is invited to attend the LAUNCH Johnson County Fall Pitch Competition at Franklin College’s Custer Theater on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.
The program is a collaboration between the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, Franklin University and the Johnson County community and is designed to support entrepreneurial endeavors in the region. The group received 13 applications and narrowed it down to six startups looking to set up operations in Johnson County.
These six entrepreneurs will present their ideas to a panel of three local “celebrity” judges. The judging panel consists of Lauren Casey Bemis, Brian Epperson, and Amy Richardson. The judge awards one of these startups $10,000 for its business. To register, please visit franklincoc.org/launch.
