JAMESTOWN – Jamestown University Men’s Volleyball Team will be the first set to win four sets at Simpson University (California) on Saturday, February I’ve come back from losing it.
The Redhawks took a fast 7-2 lead before Jimmy was able to reduce the deficit to two points, 17-15, thanks to four consecutive offensive errors. The Red Hawks responded to take a 18-15 lead and pushed the lead to 19-16. The Red Hawks endured the run of Jimmy, who died from there, in order to get a 25-21 first set victory.
The Jimmies never gave up a lead in the second set, earning a 1-0 lead, a 2-1 lead, and a 25-19 set victory.
After the Red Hawks got an early lead of 6-5, Jimmy tied it down at 6am and flew to a 21-13 lead from there. Despite the Red Hawks trying to get back to it 23-15, Jimmy made a 2-0 mini run faster to get a 25-15 third-set victory.
Jimmy had to show off their grit in the fourth set as the Redhawks took an 8-4 lead. The hosts responded to take a 14-13 lead before the Redhawks took a 19-18 lead and tied the setup at 22. From there, Jimmy scored 25-22 with a 3-0 run. The fourth set wins and the match ends.

Jimmy loses to Benedicchin Mesa:
Jimmies’ men’s volleyball team was unable to complete a comeback in the fourth set, losing four sets to Benedictine University Mesa (Arizona) (25-20, 25-16, 21-25, 25-21) It was costly.
Jimmies finished the three-day UJ Invitational with a 2-3 record.
“Whenever you can play teams like the Benedictine, Missouri Valley, Biterbo, Simpson, it gives you the opportunity to grow and really push yourself,” said Jimmies head coach Downey Hune. I did. “Each team really challenged us and really pushed and exposed the weaknesses of the game that we have to look at first hand.”
The match served as the return of Thysen Myers, who missed the final three games due to an ankle injury.
The first set was very tight, with the teams exchanging leads. After the team was tied up at 10, the Red Hawks ran to take a 14-11 lead. Jimmies responded to bring it to within 19-18, but the Redhawks finished the set with a big run to get a first set victory of 25-20.
The opening set included 11 tie and four lead changes.
The Red Hawks burned their second set by taking an 8-2 lead. The Red Hawks continued to take a 17-8 lead from there, finishing the set with Jimmies service errors, bringing a 25-16 set victory.
Jimmies (4-9) was the team that blows a tight third set when they responded to a 9-8 lead on a run that earned a 20-13 advantage. The Red Hawks didn’t fall without a fight, but they approached 24-21, but Jimmy’s Mikal Nie Miet forced the fourth set, giving the team a 25-21 third set victory Ta.
Jimmy went on to fight in four sets, turning a 12-7 lead into a 12-10 lead, but saw a kill from the Red Hawks (4-1) 13-10, taking 17 I started running – 13 lead. Jimmy continued to fight again, but brought it as close as 20-19, but the Red Hawks were able to stick to their fourth victory, 25-21.
