Boston Seltics should not have needed Jason Tatum’s hero to break the New Orleans pelican on Friday night, but he wins anyway.
With less than a second in a tie game, TATUM hit a fade away jump shot that won and won the game to give Celtics a dramatic 118-116 victory. TATUM ended the game with 27 points with 21 shots with 10 assists and 6 rebounds.
If this story sounds familiar, it’s because no player has more go -arm shots than TATUM in the last 5 seconds of the game after 2020.
Among the impressive people: Pelicans Wing Herb Jones.
Celtics was leading in the latter half, but it was not enough to prevent the home team from connecting the game with less than 2 minutes left. Jaylene Brown returned them in 34 seconds, but CJ McCollum re -tied it with a florter and set up a Tatum stage.
The winner of the game denied a big night for Pelicans wing, Tray Murphy III. He scored 15 points, the best career of 40 points, with 20 rebounds and four assists with 20 to 20 shots (8 to 8). He still participated in the game without Jones and Brandon Ingram, who had a pelican, and led the pelican to a miracle. It is the rest of the season, probably a considerable part of the next season.
The victory was only 7-6 in the past 13 games and was quietly important for Celtics, who is fighting to fight New Yorknix in Eastern Conference. They will play against another fast -paced team of the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
