The Mega Millions jackpot rose to $77 million for Friday’s drawing after no one won the top prize on Tuesday.
If someone matches all six numbers, they can elect a one-time cash payment of $33.7 million. Winning numbers will be drawn immediately after 11pm ET on Friday and the results are below.
This drawing comes on the heels of a massive Mega Millions win of over $1 billion. A lucky player from California won the jackpot on December 27th.
According to the Lottery, there were only four Mega Millions jackpot wins in 2024, making this past year the lowest number of jackpot wins in a calendar year since the game’s inception in 2002.

How to play Mega Millions
To play Mega Millions, you must purchase a ticket. This can be done at a variety of locations, including local convenience stores, gas stations, and grocery stores. In some states, you can purchase Mega Millions tickets online.
Once you have your ticket, you have to choose six numbers. Five of them are white balls numbered 1-70. The golden mega ball ranges from 1 to 25.
If you’re feeling particularly unlucky or don’t want to go through the hassle of picking, you can request a “Quick Pick” or “Easy Pick https://www.megamillions.com/How-to-Play”. aspx. ” These options cause the computer to randomly generate numbers.
For an additional dollar, players can add a “megaplier” that increases non-jackpot winnings by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times. The Megaplier is drawn before any 6 Mega Millions numbers are drawn.
