Ivanka Trump has confessed that she “hates” the “darkness” of politics and revealed how she plans to support her father in his second term.
The president-elect’s eldest daughter gave a nearly two-hour interview to the podcast “Skinny Confidential.” During Monday’s episode, she revealed her thoughts on politics and how she plans to stand by President-elect Donald Trump, who is set to be inaugurated for a second time on January 20.
Ivanka served as an advisor during her father’s first term, but revealed that she actually “hates” politics.
“I love policy and influence. I hate politics, and unfortunately the two are inseparable,” she said. “There is darkness in that world, and I don’t want to welcome it into my world.”
She called politics a “dark, negative business.”
The 43-year-old said she plans to stay in Florida until her father retakes the White House, but has plans to support him.
“It’s the loneliest position in the world,” she said of the presidency. “The sheer volume of decisions you’re making every day, everyone in the trade is with you…it’s a very lonely perch.”
