AMES — Iowa State seniors Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel and Darien Porter have officially accepted invitations to the Reese’s Senior Bowl to be held on February 1, 2025 in Mobile, Alabama. The game will be televised at 1 a.m. on NFL Network. 30:30pm
Reese’s Senior Bowl, held annually since 1950, is one of the nation’s premier college all-star games. This is the second time in school history (2021) that ISU has invited three players.
Higgins and Noel formed the most prolific wide receiver duo in the country this season, combining for 159 receptions, 2,260 yards and 16 touchdowns. They are the only duo with both players over 1,000 receiving yards this season.
Higgins has 87 receptions, 1,183 yards and nine touchdowns, all of which rank second in school history in a single season. Higgins was named second-team All-Big 12 and earned Associated Press third-team All-America honors.
Noel had 72 receptions for 1,077 yards and seven touchdowns. Noel was named the Big 12 Co-Special Teams Player of the Year, and the senior has played in 45 consecutive games in receptions, the third-longest streak in the nation.
Porter is a true success story, converting from wide receiver to defensive back before his fourth season at Iowa State. The move paid off, and Porter was promoted to starter this season, recording three interceptions. The Bettendorf native also excelled on special teams during his career, blocking five kicks in his career (four punts, one field goal).
