As fashion and beauty editors, we’re always discussing what’s next, whether it’s the latest product launches, trends about to break out, cutting-edge skincare ingredients or hot creative director appointments. But we can’t call ourselves fully advanced without leveraging the next frontier: artificial intelligence. That’s why we’re introducing Who What Wear’s new Intelligent Shopping Assistant, affectionately known as ISA (ee-suh). Launching in beta today, the conversational chatbot uses generative artificial intelligence to provide fashion and beauty product recommendations. The best part? ISAs are trained on Who What Wear’s industry-leading editorial expertise, so our shopping suggestions are highly curated.
We’ve made the experience super easy. For instant access to shopping advice from our editors, just enter a question or phrase about what you want to shop for. Whether you ask ISA about the best boots for fall or the trendiest lipstick, you’ll get a customized recommendation right away. You can also tell your ISA if you have specific parameters, such as your desired price range or retailer.
U.S. Editor-in-Chief Kat Collings tells us more about this exciting launch. “Who What Wear is known for expert shopping recommendations on fashion and beauty. ISA is focused on giving our viewers new ways to shop smarter.” says Collings. “The ISA is a great AI-powered resource to help our viewers source editor-approved gifts faster and more efficiently, especially as we head into the busy holiday season.”

How does ISA work?
Launching in beta today, ISA pulls recommended products from Who What Wear’s extensive catalog of articles, buying guides, and reviews relevant to your query. Search results are sent to ISA’s Large-Scale Language Model (LLM) to create a customized response with a unique voice and tone. We provide comprehensive recommendations for ISAs, more affordable alternatives, and related articles on Who What Wear to dig deeper.
ISAs get smarter over the years. Over time, we plan to improve ISA’s search capabilities by analyzing your interactions with bots (but don’t worry, we’ll always respect your privacy). We continually improve our algorithms to ensure we deliver the most relevant, stylish and up-to-date shopping suggestions. Only the best will serve you.
To that end, we welcome any feedback regarding your experience using ISA. Were your shopping needs effectively met? How can we improve our tools? Don’t hesitate. ISA’s feelings will not be hurt. Please use this feedback form.

What are the ISA limitations?
ISAs are guided by expertise that can only come from Who What Wear, so they may say they don’t know or can’t answer questions outside of fashion and beauty. Please note that while ISA can currently answer many questions well, ISA continues to learn and cannot always provide perfect answers.
