Indian entrepreneur Kuldeep Dhankar recently shared how he survived a car accident with the help of an Apple Watch. Dhankar, the founder of Last9.io, shared with X a photo of his car that crashed on a US highway and a police officer inspecting the accident scene. In the post, he said that he was rear-ended by a car while in traffic. He revealed that his Apple Watch instantly detected the collision and automatically alerted the police. The device’s collision detection capabilities and the California Highway Patrol’s prompt response played a critical role in ensuring Dhankar’s safety and allowed him to continue his journey with minimal delays.
“Yesterday, I was hit by a car while stopped in traffic on I-5. The car behind me was probably a total loss. (We are completely safe) Apple watch shows us that we were hit. The car detected this and called 911.” Officers were on the scene and were on their way within 30 minutes, and we were very grateful to the Apple Watch and the California Highway Patrol,” Dhankar said. I wrote it.

However, this isn’t the first time the Apple Watch has saved a life. Back in October, the device was proven to detect irregular heartbeats, leading to timely medical intervention and saving the life of an elderly woman. In addition to monitoring steps, sleep, and blood oxygen levels, the Apple Watch’s ECG (electrocardiogram) feature is known for its advanced health tracking capabilities and can identify a condition called atrial fibrillation, allowing women to see a doctor immediately. He was urged to undergo medical examination.
Nikias Molina shared this incident with X, revealing that his Apple Watch Series 10 detected his grandmother’s arrhythmia. “Today, my Apple Watch Series 10 detected atrial fibrillation in my grandmother using its electrocardiogram function. She is currently receiving the necessary treatment at the hospital. I still can’t believe it,” says a photo of the watch alert. I wrote this while sharing.
