HP Instant Ink1 makes printing at home easier and more affordable. π¨
There’s still time to earn a $10 credit when you sign up for an HP Instant Ink subscription. Plans range from $1.49 per month to $27.99 per month.
With HP Instant Ink plans, your printer never runs out of ink and you save money on ink. You can too when you get a $10 credit with HP Instant Ink Subscription 3.
This plan claims you can save up to 50%2 with HP Instant Ink, and it’s true. The best part is that you don’t have to go to the store at the last minute to refill your ink cartridges (no more last-minute crises when your printer runs out of ink). If you can spare $1 per month, you’ll be happy to hear that subscriptions start at just $1.49 per month.
How do HP Instant Ink subscription plans work?
HP Instant Ink service is compatible with 85 HP printer models up to 4 years old. (This includes HP Envy, HP OfficeJet, and HP DeskJet models.) You can choose from several different plans based on the estimated amount of pages you’re likely to print in a month. Plans range from $1.49 per month for 10 pages (ideal for package labels, event tickets, and other random one-off prints) to $27.99 per month for 700 pages (ideal for homes and small offices) π¨) That’s it. This means that whether you print photos or just black and white, the price remains the same. Going out of town for a while? That’s no problem either! There are also vacation options (up to 4 months per year) where you are not charged for Instant Ink because you are not home to use the Instant Ink service.
“I have an HP DeskJet 2742e All-in-One printer and love its compact size and clean white color. I was thrilled to find out it was compatible. π This service includes ink, shipping, and replacement of old cartridges. Recycle 4. When I learned that I could change my plan or cancel my subscription at any time, I was even more motivated to try it out, right?
I haven’t read all the assigned pages, but if I did, it wouldn’t be a big deal. You can roll over a certain amount or pay for additional prints for as little as $1. Additionally, if you don’t print at all, the pages you don’t use will be added to your available rollover balance. πβ
Do you love free printables as much as I do?!
Check out some of our favorites that can be printed using HP inks.
Best of all, HP ink cartridges arrive with SMART shipping.
We are very grateful that HP Instant Ink service includes Smart Delivery. This means HP automatically checks how much energy is left in my printer7 and only receives a shipment of ink if the printer indicates it’s low. That means you don’t even have to remember to order ink when you need it. He’s a genius!
In addition to the new ink, the company also sent me a prepaid recycling envelope that I could use to dispose of the old cartridges. It couldn’t be simpler. π
Is an HP Instant Ink subscription worth the money?
yes! It makes sense to get a subscription. π‘ It’s super convenient because the company keeps track of when your printer runs out of ink and sends another cartridge to your home before the current one runs out1.
We appreciate HP’s sustainability efforts. They choose to use recycled content to manufacture their cartridges and use less packaging. I love that the HP Planet Partners4 recycles my old ink cartridges when I send them back. It feels good to help the environment, even in a small way, without making any special effort. πͺπ
So what are the pitfalls…
I have nothing negative to say about this service! If you own (or are considering purchasing) an eligible HP printer and want to save big on ink, now’s the perfect time to try it out, as you can get a $10 credit just for signing up. It’s time3. π° Plus, if you’re not satisfied, you can change or cancel your plan at any time5!
My teammate Melinda has been a fan of HP Instant Ink for some time. Here’s what she had to say:
βI don’t use my printer every day, but I do need to print here and there while creating the necessary forms, shipping labels, and various other documents. Plus, my three children have new Since we’re in the middle of the semester, we can’t afford to get an “out of ink” error the night before a paper is due. π
I’m not running out of printers, but a year ago I jumped on the HP Instant Ink plan. I can’t praise this plan enough.
My family has been using HP Instant Ink for over a year and we love it so much that we decided to stick with it. I used to spend about $30 a month on ink. π€― To be fair, I was printing a TON while homeschooling my kids. That’s why, at less than $1.50 per month, this subscription is absolutely worth your money. β
Check out what my other hip sidekicks are saying…
“Before you say, ‘I don’t need a printer’ or ‘I don’t need to have ink sent to me,’ I felt the same way until I got a printer a few months ago. Frustrated by having to pay for printing random documents, I picked up my HP DeskJet with 9 months of HP Instant Ink and immediately thought, “Why didn’t I buy this sooner!” I thought.
This was useful for printing return labels when time was limited and for printing last minute gift cards for the holiday season (especially since many stores around me were closed) . But the best part?! HP Instant Ink. If HP hadn’t sent me new cartridges when my printer was low on ink, I wouldn’t have been in such a predicament. I wouldn’t have had the time to order, but the Instant Ink service saved me from what could have been a really frustrating situation.
I’m still in the free trial period for HP Instant Ink, but even as someone who doesn’t print often, I know I’ll keep using the service even after it expires. Too convenient. In the meantime, I’m printing out all the printables to help you plan, organize, and stay organized to start the new year off right. β β Emily, your hip buddy
βI’ve been an HP Instant Ink user since 2016 and am a fan of this subscription (yes, 2016). I used to run a business from home and do a lot of things every month for my customers, clients, and myself. I used to print out hundreds of marketing materials, printables, and documents. I also love printable planners and organizational tools, and I like to have paper copies of important documents for my records.
An HP Instant Ink subscription has saved me thousands of dollars in ink costs over the years, and it has also saved me from running out of ink at the most inconvenient times.
I’m printing a lot less pages than usual right now, but when I calculated how much it costs to buy ink cartridges (even if you buy them at Sam’s Club or a discount store), it’s still a few hundred dollars a year. I am saving money. Even with the ink cartridges, I currently only print about 50 pages a month.
Plus, it’s nice to have one less thing to remember to buy and maintain. With Instant Ink, HP monitors my print levels and sends me a new cartridge before I run out of ink. I highly recommend instant ink and HP printers. β β Misty, your hip buddy
Our readers love HP Ink subscriptions, too.
“I love the HP Instant Ink program. With four kids in school, there are phases where I print for school projects, but I run out of ink or have to go to the store to buy it last minute. I’m grateful I don’t have to. I love that I can print in color for the same price as black and white, and it’s useful for school projects. My husband gets emails saying he’s out of pages, and I actually get them. 1 or 2 thanks to We are determining if we need to change our plans for the month.β
βI use Instant Ink 7 I’ve been using it for over a year. It’s a great program. I’ve changed my subscription many times and the process was smooth. They have an account page that shows how many prints you’ve used, how many times you’ve rolled over, etc. They sent me a cartridge and I misplaced it. Note that they won’t send you a new cartridge if you do (because they know you should replace the cartridge and not run out of ink). If you receive one, you will be asked to return it for inspection.β
βHighly Recommended! HP Instant Ink has saved me a ton of money on ink over the past 5 years or so. I love that I never run out of ink. I can’t say enough about HP Instant Ink.
