The 98th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be held once again on November 28th, featuring 22 giant balloons, 34 amazing floats, a seven-wheeled “Ballonicle” and more.
NBC’s “TODAY” show stars Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will once again serve as emcees for the 2024 parade.
What is the parade route?
The parade begins at 8:30 a.m. ET at West 77th Street and Central Park West and ends at 12 p.m. ET at Macy’s Herald Square flagship store on 34th Street.
There are four miles of designated public viewing areas along the 2024 route. We recommend arriving by 6am to secure the best spot.
Rain is forecast for New York City on Thursday, so bring a poncho.
Central Park West: Enjoy spectacular views along Central Park West from West 75th Street to West 61st Street. However, there will be no public viewing on Central Park West between West 59th Street and West 60th Street. 6th Avenue: The stretch from West 59th Street to West 38th Street offers the best views as close to the end of the parade as possible, but should be avoided by spectators. Viewing is restricted in the area of 6th Avenue between West 34th Street and West 38th Street.
How can I watch it at home?
The parade will be broadcast on NBC from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET and simulcast on Peacock, with an encore presentation starting at 2 p.m. ET on NBC.

Who will be performing this year?
28 exciting entertainers, 11 musical marching bands, 28 clown crews and 11 performance groups will appear during the approximately four-hour parade.
Stars including Jennifer Hudson, Lea Salonga, T-Pain, Rachel Platten, Idina Menzel, Dan + Shay, and The Temptations will join dancer and TikToker Charli D’Amelio, ballet stars Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia They will also perform together.
Members of the WNBA champion New York Liberty and mascot Ellie the elephant will also appear.
Some of Broadway’s best actors will show off their skills, including actors from the musicals “Death Becomes Her,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” and “The Outsiders.”
And not to be outdone, Santa Claus will also be rounding out the lineup with his famous sleigh ride. The sled is the largest float in the parade, measuring 60 feet long, 22 feet wide and three and a half stories high.
What’s new this year?
This year’s parade features six balloons, including Minnie Mouse, Extraordinary Noora & the Elf on the Shelf, and an all-new Spider-Man balloon inspired by the art of comic book artist John Romita Sr. It has been confirmed that a new balloon will be introduced.
This year, six new floats will make their parade debut, including Haribo’s “Candy Cosmos,” Rao’s Homemade “Pasta Night,” and the Bronx Zoo’s “Wonderous World of Wildlife,” featuring zoo animals and popular exhibits. Celebrate. Netflix’s Wednesday Feast features a portrait of Jenna Ortega from the hit show.
Three new ‘balloonicles’ – small balloons that attach to your bike and travel along your route – have also been created.
