Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Pacific 6, a Long Beach-based investment and development group, to open Fairmont Breakers Long Beach in downtown Long Beach, California. The grand opening comes after an extensive multi-million dollar renovation that combines historic elegance and modern luxury.
Located 40 miles south of Los Angeles, Fairmont Breakers offers upscale accommodations and first-class amenities. Built in 1926, this hotel has been meticulously renovated to blend old world charm with modern luxury. Featuring the city’s only luxury spa and rooftop bar, a sun-drenched pool terrace and two signature restaurants including the popular Sky Room.
Fairmont Breakers Long Beach General Manager Mark Stenge expressed pride in the return of the iconic landmark, citing the hotel’s commitment to luxury, elegance and quality service. Omar Akar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the hotel’s importance to the local community and its role in enhancing Long Beach’s reputation as a thriving destination.
The Breakers property has long been a distinctive icon along the Long Beach skyline, attracting celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Cary Grant. The hotel combines vintage charm with modernity, with 185 rooms and 22 suites designed in elegant coastal colors. Modern design elements preserve and enhance the property’s historic character.
Our hotel offers a variety of dining experiences with five different food and beverage concepts. The Sky Room, a fine-dining restaurant, offers an extensive menu including roasted John Dory and Wellingtonian California Wagyu beef. Inspired by the Italian coast, Nettuno serves authentic Italian home cooking. The hotel is also home to Halo, Long Beach’s only rooftop bar, and Alter Ego, an upscale jazz bar.
The Fairmont Spa, a 10,000-square-foot facility, offers massages, facials, and body treatments. The hotel also has a two-story fitness center and an outdoor pool.
Fairmont Breakers Long Beach will offer approximately 10,000 square feet of flexible event space and will be a premier destination for meetings and events.
Rates at Fairmont Breakers Long Beach start from $349 per night. The hotel joins Fairmont’s extensive collection of properties across California and is the brand’s 89th property worldwide.
